Boys & Girls Clubs in Louisiana Names Missy Bienvenu Andrade as Chief Impact Officer
The Boys & Girls Clubs in Louisiana (BGCLA) are happy to announce that the Board of Directors have named Missy Bienvenu Andrade as the first Chief Impact Officer of the organization. BGCLA conducted its search process with the assistance of Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

Staff at Boys & Girls Clubs across Louisiana are working hard to create an exciting summer for Club Youth filled with enrichment activities and fun memories. National Boys & Girls Club week is June 21-25 and we are celebrating the resilience of Boys & Girls Clubs and kids. As part of the week, Boys & Girls Clubs across America and on U.S. military installations worldwide will host weeklong celebrations.
Juneteenth Celebration 2021
Juneteenth (June 19) or Freedom day serves as a time for African Americans to gather in community to celebrate liberation, culture, strong connections and joy! It is about celebrating the possibilities of good things to come, resilience, creativity and community!
Celebrating Pride Month 2021
As research shows that LGBTQ youth with supportive communities have greater self-esteem and resilience, Boys & Girls Clubs remain committed to doing whatever it takes to position our youth for great futures, including young people of every sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression. Our club experience blog is a place where youth and families can share experiences and learn about resources.

Louisiana Youth of the Year 2021
Boys & Girls Clubs of Acadiana is thrilled to announce this years Acadiana Youth of the Year, Zykeiveyun Narcisse, from our Iberia Club!
Louisiana Military Youth of the Year 2021
Jeremiah H. has been named the 2021 Louisiana Military Youth of the Year by Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Jeremiah hopes to one day attend Florida A & M University to pursue a degree in Civil Engineering. He describes himself as “curiously ambitious” and considers his fellow Club Members and staff at the New Orleans Naval Air Station Joint Reserve to be family.
